I began working on my family tree about 20 years ago. Everything on this site (with the exception of a few pieces I wrote myself, some quotes from others, and some photos) was found sitting at home and exploring the internet on my computer. In other words what you will see here is what is publicly available on the World Wide Web. There are more than 17,000 files, more than 3,000 individuals, and more than 38,000 images. The images (photos, documents, maps, etc) are loaded on the site but not yet linked in the database.
When you visit the page for an individual scroll down below the tree chart to see details about that person, what was going on in the world during their lifetime, and notes and comments that I’ve added. You will notice that on the pages for individuals who are living, personal information is not included.
To see some parts of the site requires you to register and login to the site otherwise you are just a Visitor and your Visitor status may prevent access to some information.
As with any genealogy site (or any web site for that matter) not everything here should be considered as fact. Check to see what source was used for the information and examine the documentation to decide how accurate it is. You’ll be able to do that ON the site as soon as I can get it all linked. I’ve tried to do this as I’ve added to the tree but I don’t always do all the checking I could, especially with information I find on someone else’s family tree. Some information is best guess based on the documentation available. If you find errors, omissions, or duplicates let me know.
If you are working on your own family tree you can download or print most of what you see here. (See About This Site for details on how to download.)
Where to begin?
First read these pages: Site Status, About the Tree, About This Site, About the Families, and everything listed on Legal Stuff.
Important! Make sure you read the CopyRight, Terms, and Privacy pages on the Legal Stuff page since accessing this site means you have agreed to be legally bound by their content.
(if these pages aren’t yet listed in the menu, be patient, I’m still working on restoring everything.)
Have fun.
